Eugene Orlov

About Me

I’ve been with Blue Sky Limo for over a decade, starting as a driver when I first moved to Vail back in 2014, then quickly working my way up through Lead Chauffeur, Fleet Manager, and, as of 2019, Director of Operations for our company. Born and raised in Philadelphia, I’ve been obsessed with cars from an early age. My father was a mechanic by trade, and he taught me that understanding how things work is the key to keeping them running. I earned my Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology from the Community College of Allegheny County, where I developed a strong foundation in vehicle diagnostics and maintenance that continues to serve me well in my role today.

After college, I started my career as a mechanic with Yellow Cab of Philadelphia, where I was responsible for ongoing fleet maintenance and day-to-day mechanical repairs, and honed my diagnostic skills. After a few years at Yellow Cab, I was looking for a change of pace and a chance to see the country, so I obtained my CDL and joined Mid-Atlantic Freight Services as a driver. My operational knowledge and technical skills were in high demand, and I soon transitioned to Transport Coordinator, managing logistics for the East Coast corridor. My life completely changed when I came out to Vail with some friends for a getaway back in 2014. I fell in love with the mountains and decided to move here. Blue Sky Limo was looking for experienced drivers, so I took the position and have been with them ever since.

Today, I oversee all operational aspects of Blue Sky Limo, including fleet maintenance, driver training, route optimization, and safety compliance. While much of my time is spent on office management and training our drivers to meet our exacting standards, I still get behind the wheel during surge periods. I genuinely love driving these mountain roads and helping ensure our clients reach their destinations safely. I’m grateful to Blue Sky Limo for giving me the opportunity to do work I’m passionate about while living in this incredible mountain community.
