* March 31 is the end of the published calendar, not a confirmed final flight date. Earlier end dates are the last arrivals listed for that route. These are flights into EGE; confirm your return flight and available seats with the airline.
DFW on December 8 and 15: the airport lists departures to Dallas/Fort Worth but omits the inbound arrivals on those dates. This does not establish that service is unavailable. Confirm those dates with American Airlines.
Charlotte (CLT): the airport’s general route directory includes Charlotte, but a nonstop is not listed in this winter calendar. Check the itinerary with American before relying on direct CLT–EGE service.
Most seasonal routes begin in mid-December
An early-December trip offers fewer nonstop choices than a Christmas or February visit. Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth provide year-round connections, while most of the wider winter network begins on December 17 or 19. If your home airport’s nonstop has not started, a connecting flight can still work; include the layover when comparing your travel dates.
We recommend checking the flight pattern before settling on the length of your stay. A Saturday nonstop may suit a week in the mountains, while a Thursday-to-Monday break may need daily service or a connection in one direction. Some holiday additions disappear in January, leaving fewer flights or operating days even though the route continues.
- Early December
- Denver and Dallas/Fort Worth continue; Houston is listed daily from December 1. United adds Chicago arrivals on December 5 and 12.
- December 17–19
- Most seasonal routes begin, with more flights on several routes and extra holiday dates from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
- January 5–9
- Denver, Houston and Phoenix frequencies reduce. Delta’s Minneapolis service changes to Saturdays from January 9.
- February 11
- The fuller schedule returns: Denver has four daily arrivals, while Houston, Phoenix and Atlanta increase to two daily.
- March 21–31
- Alaska’s last listed arrivals are March 21. Several routes last appear March 27 or 28; others are listed through the March 31 calendar boundary.
For a late-March stay, confirm both flights before booking accommodation. A convenient arrival does not establish the return service a week later. The published calendar stops on March 31, so check April flights directly with the airline rather than assuming the winter pattern continues.
New Year’s week has the most scheduled winter arrivals
December 28, 2026–January 3, 2027 has 181 scheduled arrivals, the most of any complete Monday–Sunday week in the published calendar. Christmas week follows with 180. Five consecutive weeks from February 15 through March 21 each have 179, so late winter remains almost as active.
Saturdays have the heaviest individual schedules, with ten Saturdays reaching 30 arrivals. If your dates are flexible, compare a midweek itinerary with the weekend options. A daily route gives you that choice; a Saturday-only nonstop may still be the most convenient way to get here.
Once your flights and accommodation are settled, we recommend arranging your arrival and return transportation together. For holiday and busy ski-season travel, include everyone in your party and the ski equipment when booking so the vehicle fits the trip you are planning.

Online ReservationsWinter arrivals by month
| Month | Arrivals | Daily average |
|---|---|---|
| December 2026 | 460 | 14.8 |
| January 2027 | 704 | 22.7 |
| February 2027 | 680 | 24.3 |
| March 2027 | 758 | 24.5 |
February has fewer days than March, but nearly the same daily flight volume. December’s lower average includes the quieter weeks before most seasonal routes begin.
Late morning is the main arrival window
57% of scheduled arrivals fall between 10 a.m. and 12:59 p.m.
Leave some room in your arrival-day plans
A scheduled landing time is only the start of the last part of your journey. Allow time to get off the plane, collect suitcases and ski bags, and meet your driver before the trip to your accommodation. An earlier arrival gives you more of the day to settle in, but we recommend keeping equipment fittings, grocery stops and other fixed plans flexible on arrival day.
If you choose a flight arriving after 10 p.m., confirm both your transportation and your property’s late check-in arrangements before buying the ticket. Give us the flight number when booking your pickup, and let us know if the airline changes your flight number, travel date or arrival airport.
Connecting through Denver?
Compare the whole itinerary: the layover, the DEN–EGE flight, baggage collection and the final drive. A long wait in Denver can absorb the time saved on the road; a well-timed connection gives you a shorter drive at the end of the day. Our Denver Airport vs. Eagle Airport comparison explains the wider trade-offs if you are still deciding where to land.

EGE winter flight FAQs
Are all winter flights to Eagle Airport daily?
No. Many routes operate daily, but United’s Washington Dulles flight and Delta’s JFK flight are Saturday-only. Alaska serves selected days of the week, and Minneapolis has extra holiday dates before moving to Saturdays. Use the operating pattern for your airline and dates, then check the return flight separately.
Which New York airport has nonstop flights to EGE?
American lists daily flights from JFK, Delta lists Saturday flights from JFK, and United lists daily Newark flights within their respective winter windows. The last listed dates differ, so compare the airline as well as the airport for a midweek or late-March trip.
Does Delta fly into Eagle Vail?
Yes. Delta Air Lines lists winter service from Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul and New York–JFK. Atlanta and Los Angeles operate daily within their listed windows; JFK is Saturday-only, while Minneapolis combines selected holiday dates with later Saturday service.
Can I connect through Denver to Eagle Airport?
Yes. United schedules three or four daily DEN–EGE arrivals, depending on the date, with a scheduled flight of roughly an hour. Compare the complete itinerary, including the layover, baggage arrangements and onward transfer; the Denver Airport vs. Eagle Airport comparison explains the wider flight and ground-travel tradeoffs.
Does this schedule cover April 2027?
No. The published calendar currently ends on March 31, 2027. That boundary does not mean every route stops then; confirm April dates directly with your airline, particularly if your trip crosses the April 4 closure of Aspen Airport.
Where can I check today's EGE arrivals and delays?
Use the airport’s live arrivals and departures board and your airline’s flight-status tool. This seasonal resource is for planning routes and dates. If your airline changes the flight number, travel date or arrival airport, give Blue Sky Limo the updated itinerary so we can coordinate your pickup.
How early should I arrive for a flight out of EGE?
Eagle County Regional Airport recommends arriving at least two hours before departure. Confirm your airline’s check-in and baggage deadlines, then plan your pickup around that airport arrival time and current Colorado road conditions.
Airport updates and useful resources
EGE offers free, on-demand visual and sign-language interpreting through Aira. The airport’s accessibility and travel FAQ explains these services and other departure-day questions. For terminal and arrival information, see flying into Eagle County Airport.
The airport’s longer-term improvement plan includes terminal, baggage and access projects, with timing dependent on funding. These are planned improvements, not a list of completed upgrades for this winter.

Plan your Eagle Airport pickup and return
Travel together with your luggage and ski equipment in a private Blue Sky Limo vehicle. We provide Eagle Airport to Vail transfers and Eagle Airport to Beaver Creek transfers directly to your accommodation. Share the exact address, passenger count and bags, including skis or snowboards, when booking.
For the flight home, work backward from the airport’s recommendation to arrive at least two hours before departure. Then allow for the drive from your accommodation and the conditions that day. A small terminal does not remove airline baggage deadlines, especially when you have ski equipment to check.
If your flight is canceled or diverted, call 970-376-7849 to discuss the revised trip; alternative arrangements depend on availability.
