Frequently Asked Questions
Blue Sky Limo has completed thousands of private airport transfers across the Colorado Rocky Mountains since 2012, earning a reputation as one of Colorado’s finest private car services. The answers below cover booking, airport pickup, vehicles, winter travel, and rates. If your question is not here, call (970) 376-7849 any time or use the Contact Form.
Our Service & Booking
What information do I need to book?
Booking takes your pickup and drop-off addresses, the number of travelers, your flight number, and a credit card to hold the reservation. Add any ski gear, child seats, or requested stops at the same time so the right vehicle is assigned. Our booking guide walks through it step by step, or call and we will set it up by phone.
How far in advance should I book?
Book as soon as your plans are firm, especially for holidays and peak ski weeks. There is no fixed advance-booking cutoff. We accommodate same-day requests whenever a vehicle is available, so call about last-minute travel.
Can I cancel or reschedule my reservation?
Cancel at least 72 hours before scheduled pickup for a refund, less a 7% processing fee. Cancellations less than 72 hours before pickup are charged in full. Rescheduling carries a $120 fee and depends on availability. Call (970) 376-7849 as soon as plans change. Full details are in our travel policy and terms of service.
Are you available for late-night and early-morning flights?
Yes, Blue Sky Limo operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. Early departures and midnight arrivals are routine for our dispatch team, and your pickup is scheduled around your actual flight time.
Airport Pickup & Flights
What happens if my flight is delayed or cancelled?
Dispatch tracks your flight and automatically adjusts your pickup for delays and early arrivals. Provide your flight number when booking. If your flight is canceled or diverted, call (970) 376-7849 with your new plans. Replacement pickups depend on availability; our cancellation, rescheduling, and diversion terms apply.
How do I meet my driver at the airport?
Your chauffeur meets you in the ground transportation area and helps with your bags, at both Denver International and Eagle County airports. Check your phone when you land, because your driver arranges the exact pickup point with you directly. The full walkthrough for each airport is on our Meet & Greet page.
How long will my chauffeur wait at the airport?
Your chauffeur waits free for 30 minutes on domestic arrivals, 45 minutes on international arrivals, and 15 minutes at residence or hotel pickups, before waiting time bills in 15-minute increments. Provide your flight number at booking and the wait window follows your actual arrival, because dispatch updates all flight arrival times. The full policy is in our terms of service.
What if I can’t find my driver?
Check your phone for your chauffeur’s message or call dispatch at (970) 376-7849. Stay near the agreed pickup area and let us know where you are. If baggage or customs is delaying you, keep your chauffeur informed so dispatch can arrange further waiting where available.
Do I need to tell you about ski gear or extra bags before pickup?
Yes, list your luggage, skis, and snowboards at booking so we assign a vehicle with the right capacity. Every SUV runs a rooftop cargo box in ski season, and with the gear on the roof the cabin stays clear for your party.
Vehicles & What to Expect
Do you provide car seats for children?
Yes, Blue Sky Limo provides child car seats and booster seats upon request. Request yours at booking with your child’s age and weight. You may bring your own seat; with an advance round-trip reservation, we can store it between transfers. Our travel policy links to current Colorado child-passenger safety guidance.
How much luggage and ski gear fits in the vehicle?
Vehicle selection depends on your passenger count and your luggage and ski equipment together. Tell us what you are bringing when booking so we can confirm the right vehicle. SUVs offer rooftop ski storage during winter; the Sprinter accommodates up to 14 passengers plus 14 bags. Confirm oversized items in advance. See our fleet for vehicle options.
Can I bring my pet?
Service animals are welcome, and small pets can be arranged when booking. We do not require service-animal registration or certification. Pet fees and routine hair-cleaning charges do not apply to service animals. Small dogs and cats should travel in carriers unless the chauffeur permits otherwise. Our terms of service explain pet arrangements and the separate damage policy.
What if I leave something in the vehicle?
Call us at (970) 376-7849 and we will arrange the return or pickup of any left-behind items. Please keep wallets, passports, and valuables with you during the trip, since Blue Sky Limo cannot be responsible for lost personal items. Have your trip date and drop-off address ready and dispatch will check with your chauffeur.
Winter Travel
Is it safe to drive I-70 to the mountains in winter?
Our SUVs use all-wheel drive and studded snow tires in winter, and our chauffeurs regularly drive the mountain routes. Weather, traffic restrictions, and road closures can still delay or interrupt a transfer. Dispatch monitors conditions and coordinates changes. Read more on our airport shuttle safety page.
What happens if a snowstorm hits on my travel day?
Dispatch watches I-70 conditions all day and coordinates any timing changes with you directly by phone. Winter storms and ski-weekend traffic can add 30 minutes to 2 hours to mountain drives, so we build buffer into winter pickup times. You can check the passes yourself on our Colorado road conditions hub.
Why is my winter pickup time earlier than the summer schedule?
Winter pickups leave earlier because I-70 traffic and weather routinely add time, and your flight will not wait. We would rather have you relaxed at the gate than watching the clock on Vail Pass.
Routes, Airports & Coverage
Which airports do you serve?
Blue Sky Limo serves Denver International (DEN), Eagle County Regional (EGE), Grand Junction (GJT), Rocky Mountain Metropolitan (BJC), and the Vail Valley Jet Center private terminal. Each airport page covers its pickup procedure: Denver, Eagle County, Grand Junction, Rocky Mountain Metro, and the Jet Center.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in the Vail Valley and serve Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Breckenridge, Keystone, and the Eagle River valley towns, plus resort destinations across the Colorado Rockies. Your chauffeur drives to your exact hotel, condo, or home address. Browse all six of our local branches for the area you are visiting.
Which airport should I fly into for a Colorado ski trip?
Eagle County Regional (EGE) lands you 30 to 45 minutes from most Vail Valley resorts, while Denver International (DEN) offers far more flights, usually at lower fares, about two hours east. Blue Sky Limo meets you at either airport, so the choice comes down to a short transfer versus cheaper airfare. Each airport page above covers its own pickup procedure.
Do you handle more than airport transfers?
Yes, Blue Sky Limo also runs resort-to-resort transfers, wedding and group transportation, and private trips to Red Rocks and the Black Hawk casinos. See our resort-to-resort, wedding, and group transportation pages, or call and dispatch will build the itinerary with you.
Pricing & What’s Included
How is a private airport transfer priced?
Private-transfer pricing is per booked vehicle and depends on the route, vehicle class, travel date, and itinerary. Published prices on our rates page are estimates. Confirm your passenger and luggage details to receive the applicable quote.
What is included in the rate?
Your confirmed quote includes the private vehicle, chauffeur, flight tracking, door-to-door service, and applicable charges for the itinerary as booked. Additional waiting, stops, or itinerary changes can incur the charges in our terms of service. Gratuity is entirely discretionary.
Are the listed rates one-way or round trip?
Listed rates are one way and per vehicle. Round trips are quoted as two legs; book both together online or call us, and your return pickup is locked in at the same time. Current one-way prices for every route are on the rates page.
Do scheduled stops cost extra?
Request grocery, dining, or other stops when booking so dispatch can allow time for them. Additional stops cost $25 per 15 minutes, with a $25 minimum per stop. Unplanned stops depend on the chauffeur’s schedule and safety judgment. See our additional-charge policy.
Why is per-vehicle pricing better for groups?
The price is per booked vehicle rather than per passenger. Travelers sharing the same vehicle can divide its cost, but a larger party or more luggage may require a different vehicle class and fare. Your pickup is arranged around your party, with no other passengers’ stops.
You can depend on Blue Sky Limo to carry you, your family, and your gear from the airport to your Rocky Mountain destination in comfort, whatever the season brings. Every answer on this page comes from the dispatchers and chauffeurs who run these routes every single day, and we keep adding the questions our travelers actually ask. If your question is not answered here, contact us. For an urgent pickup issue, call dispatch at (970) 376-7849.
