Denver International Airport is 104 miles away, and it will take you at least 1 hour and 48 minutes to get from the airport to this hotel in Breckenridge in good weather and without traffic.

Aspen Pitkin County Airport is 134 miles from One Ski Hill Place. Steamboat Yampa Valley Airport is 128 miles northeast. Most visitors fly into Vail/Eagle County Airport (EGE). If you fly into Denver Airport, you might think about renting a car, but you should be warned that the 120+ mile trip from Denver takes you over two mountain passes at elevations of 11,000 and 10,600 feet.

Here is what customers say: The Sevens is little pricey, and is also heavily trafficked in the winter — to be expected at a restaurant located right on the mountain. Its breakfast buffet is decent, and expect items such as wood-fired pizzas, steaks, sandwiches, and burgers for lunch and dinner. It’s closed seasonally, so guests will have to cook for themselves or travel to Main Street in the summer months.

The DoubleTree’s rooms have subtle mountain-lodge charms and homey decor, though they Guestrooms offer one king bed, one queen bed, two king beds, or two queen beds. Each room has a 42-inch high-definition television, a Sweet Dreams bed, an ergonomic chair and work desk, mini refrigerator, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access. Also included are clock radios, coffeemakers, hairdryers, iron and ironing boards, and wet bars. Many rooms offer an exquisite view of the mountains right outside the hotel.

The rooms at this hotel aren’t the freshest we’ve seen from a design perspective. Rooms have subtly patterned wallpaper and carpets plus warm-tone wood furniture and chocolate brown leather headboards. Some rooms are quite compact, like the Standard Room that we visited, though other rooms are a bit larger and have contemporary couches or armchairs. 

Dining Options at DoubleTree

There are two restaurants on site: Made Market, which offers a la carte meals all day, and 9600 Kitchen and Bar, which serves breakfast and dinner as well as cocktails.
